Texans Overwhelmingly Favor Destination Resort Casinos
Polling data shows Texans are ready to get in the game. AUSTIN, TX - Today the Texas Gaming Association (TGA) released the following statement:
"We believe that Texans are ready for a serious debate about whether and how legalized gaming options should be expanded in Texas. Our approach would allow for a limited number of destination resort casinos, video lottery terminals at the tracks, and gaming at the state’s three Indian Reservations," said Scott Dunaway, spokesperson for the TGA. "We think that this big tent approach is one that is most likely to gain the necessary support of the Texas Legislature, and of Texas voters," said Dunaway.
Polling data received in the last 24 hours from Wilson Research Strategies shows that Texans support the TGA approach:
